A new Linkin Park song called "Powerless," will play over the end credits to the 20th Century Fox film Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. The track comes from Linkin Park's upcoming album, Living Things, due on June 26, and the movie comes out on June 22. On June 19, the band also will participate in Rio+Social, a global conversation that will explore the relationship between social media, technology and sustainable development. Band members will join Rio+Social from Los Angeles to discuss the topic, and they'll also give a live performance that will be streamed via Warner Music Group's YouTube channel, the Warner Sound. The concert begins at 1:30 p.m. PT.

Eddie Van Halen has reiterated that Van Halen did not postpone their summer tour due to in-fighting in the band. In a recent interview with USA Today, the guitarist explained, "We bit off more than we could chew. This record [the recently released A Different Kind Of Truth] took a lot out of us. And we went on tour earlier than we wanted to so we could play Madison Square Garden [before a renovation], and that threw the schedule out of whack." Van Halen also revealed that the band will visit Japan in November and has "something special" tentatively planned for next year.

Green Day have unveiled the album art for ¡UNO!, the first of the band's upcoming trio of releases. Billie Joe Armstrong's face appears on the cover of the record, and one can assume that Mike Dirnt will be on ¡DOS! and since the third album is ¡TRE!, drummer Tre Cool will be on that cover. A brief trailer featuring the first taste of new Green Day music also has been released and can be seen below:

Foster The People is still on tour supporting their debut album, Torches, but they're already penning some material for the next record. Frontman Mark Foster has started the writing process while on the road, and he's drawing on The Clash and The Kinks as influences. Foster told Billboard.com that the next record will be "really celebratory" but will also "take a lot of left turns... I think there's going to be more grit, and I think it's gonna be extremely percussive," he said.

After collaborating on the hit song "Without You," Usher has been back in the studio with producer David Guetta. However, their new track won't be on Usher's new album, Looking 4 Myself. Instead, it will be on Ludacris' forthcoming effort, Ludaversal, which is due in September. "Well, there is another crazy record, that he, I and Luda worked on," Usher told MTV News. "I can't tell you too much about it. I'll tell you as much as he has: It's incredible, it's crazy."

Justin Bieber will offer his second fragrance, dubbed Girlfriend, at Macy's stores beginning the week of June 18. The Biebs is promoting the new scent with a competition where fans can send in videos of themselves singing his single "Boyfriend" substituted with the word "Girlfriend." A few chosen participants will get their video aired during his NBC special on June 21, and a select few will see their clips in a 60-second international commercial for the perfume.

Metallica frontman James Hetfield has filmed a public service video to aid law enforcement officials in tracking down a man suspected of murdering Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington after the band's 2009 concert in Charlottesville, VA. In the video, which can be seen on YouTube, Hetfield shares a police sketch of the suspect and urges fans to speak up. "Remember, any information – no matter how small you might think it is – could be that crucial piece investigators need to help solve the case," he says in the clip. Metallica has put up $50,000 as a reward to anyone who helps find the criminal, and the Jefferson Area Crime Stoppers organization also is offering $100,000.

fun. will be the musical performer for this year's "Trevor Live" event, hosted by LGBTQ organization The Trevor Project in New York. The "Trevor Live" event will take place at NYC's Pier 60 on June 25. "We are honored to be supporting the Trevor Project in every way we can," said Fun.'s Jack Antonoff in a statement to Billboard.com. "In the current state in which LGBTQ citizens are denied basic rights, it's absolutely vital to have resources like the Trevor Project available to kids as a support system to help them understand that there is nothing wrong with them."

James Mercer says a second Broken Bells record may be on tap before he does another album with The Shins. "We have to do another Broken Bells record, which I'm really excited about," he told Billboard.com about the group that he and Danger Mouse launched in 2010. "We've talked about it a little bit. We've got songs already worked out, too, a few things we had been working on after the (self-titled debut) record was pretty much done which we figured would be on the next record we did." For now, however, Mercer is committed to being on the road with The Shins supporting Port of Morrow, the group's first new album in five years. The band is currently touring Europe and they'll be back in the U.S. for a fall trek starting in September.

St. Vincent and David Byrne will offer their collaborative album, Love This Giant, on September 11 through 4AD/Todo Mundo. The 12-song album finds the lead vocals split between both singers, and the pair primarily recorded in Hoboken, New Jersey with a brass section that included members of the Dap-Kings and Antibalas. St. Vincent and Byrne will tour in support of the release, with their North American leg kicking off on September 15 in Minneapolis. They'll be backed by a band of eight brass players, a keyboardist and a drummer.

Evans Blue has announced more dates for their summer Graveyard Of Empires tour. The tour kicks off on July 6 in Flint, Michigan, where the band will also film a live video for the song "Halo," and it wraps on August 17 in Sauget, IL. State Your Cause will support the entire run with the exception of July 29, and Bobaflex will be joining the lineup for the Georgia and Florida dates. 7th Cycle will be a part of the shows from July 6 – 15.

Fozzy, the hard rock brainchild of WWE superstar Chris Jericho and Stuck Mojo guitarist Rich Ward, will release a new album, Sin And Bones, on August 14. The band will then embark on the first full-length U.S. tour of their 12-year career, joining Shinedown, Godsmack, Staind and Papa Roach on this summer's Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival in August and September.
