Carolina Bermudez, who recently announced she would be leaving Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, is making the move to television as a co-host on a New York City morning news show. The New York Daily News reports that Bermudez will be a part of Live From The Couch, airing weekdays from 7-9 a.m. on WLNY-TV. The show will debut in early July. This week is Bermudez's last on the air as part of Duran's syndicated show.

Epic recording artist Cher Lloyd was mobbed this past week by her fans (dubbed "brats") at CHR WHYI (Y100)/Miami. The station visit by the 18 year-old singer and X-Factor UK alum was part of a promo tour that includes visits and performances at radio station across North America to promote her debut U.S. single "Want U Back." The song and video are already generating a buzz! The event at Y100 even made press overseas via the UK's Daily Mail, with Lloyd taking to Twitter about her visit to South Beach, saying, "Miami was insane!!! thanks to all the brats who came to the station :) who wants a follow?" You can see Cher Lloyd's “Want U Back” video here.

Last week it was reported that Dick Clark Productions was going up for sale. According to Reuters' sources, Ryan Seacrest and his production company is interested in bidding on Seacrest's late mentor's former company. Earlier this year, Ryan Seacrest Media (RSM) and Clear Channel, with Clear Channel’s majority investors Thomas H. Lee Partners (THL) and Bain Capital announced two new investment agreements with Seacrest's company, "designed to drive business growth across multiple media platforms."

Author, consultant, speaker, and Conclave Rockwell Award recipient Valerie Geller will speak on Wednesday, July 18 at 4:30 p.m. CT on "Finding Future Stars" at the 37th Conclave Learning Conference. Gellar says, “All of broadcasting's superstars share certain traits. And the ability to recognize talent is a talent in itself. Most GMs and PDs would love to have a crystal ball they could consult to find out which personalities will work and which will flop. In this session we can't promise the crystal ball, but there are a few things you can do to recognize tomorrow's radio superstars." The 37th Conclave Learning Conference runs Wednesday July 18 to Friday July 20 in Minneapolis.

The FADER announces its first Spotify app, delivering playlists featuring artists featured in issues of the magazine over the years. The FADER's editors have also developed playlists for Spotify as part of the app. "Wherever our readers are, and whatever technologies they’re using, we’re committed to being right there with them," said Andy Cohn, President and Publisher of The FADER, Inc. "The FADER's Spotify app is a dynamic platform in which our readers will be able to consume all kinds of the original content we're known for, including music, editorial, and photography, in addition to new content specific to the wide tastes of our editors."
