Pandora has announced its latest listening metrics for July 2012. According to the digital music service's own data, listener hours for Pandora last month were 1.12 billion, an increase of 76 percent from 637 million during the same period last year. This is also an increase over 1.08 billion in June 2012.

According to Pandora, its share of total U.S. radio listening for July was 6.13 percent, an increase from 3.51 percent at the same time last year and 5.98 percent in June.

Active listeners were 54.9 million at the end of July 2012, an increase of 48 percent from 37.1 million during the same time period last year. Pandora reported 54.5 million active listeners last month.
