CBS Radio-Las Vegas promotes KMXB (Mix 94.1) & KXTE (X107.5) weekender Heather Collins to full time night host at Mix, effective immediately. "I am so proud of Heather," says PD Charese Fruge. "She started out as an intern a few years ago, learned everything she possibly could about the station and perfected her on air skills by pulling as many shifts as she could on two stations. There is no one who deserves this opportunity more than she does. And by the way, she sounds AWESOME!" Collins replaces former night host, Sabrina Ronan, who is moving with her husband to New York City as he pursues his Ph.D.

Cox Media Group signs on Modern Rock X98-5 FM/Greenville via Urban sister WJMZ-HD2's translator signal. SupaDave Jackson is programming.

Whitney Hill has been named SVP of Strategic Partnerships & Global Digital Business for Sony Music Entertainment. In this role, she is responsible for implementing Sony Music's digital strategy with key partners around the world, and overseeing relationships with them on a global basis. In addition to continuing her work with VEVO and YouTube, Whitney also adds responsibility for global partner management with other digital partners including Spotify.

Shazam announced it has reached a major milestone – the service has been used to identify songs and experience additional content with TV shows and ads over five billion times. P!nk’s new song "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" marked the five billionth tag. "Shazam is achieving growth and customer engagement that is unparalleled, with more than two million people downloading the app each week and using it ten million times every day," said Shazam CEO Andrew Fisher. "We have invested in our technology and developed strong partnerships with broadcasters, brands, artists and music labels to provide our fans with the most innovative way to discover, explore and share the content that interests them most."

SoundExchange and BandPage have teamed up to notify recording artists of unclaimed royalties with SoundExchange. Together the two groups identified more than $2 million in unclaimed digital performance royalties for thousands of BandPage musicians who have not yet registered with SoundExchange. BandPage musicians with unclaimed performance royalties will be notified by BandPage directly via email. SoundExchange has also launched a new and completely reconstructed online platform designed to streamline the registration process. This is the latest initiative by SoundExchange to put more resources and money into recording artists’ and labels’ hands.
