At CCM+E Modern Rock KDGE/Dallas, Daniel takes over middays, replacing station vet Josh Venable, who exited last month amid Clear Channel's nationwide cuts. Daniel is also known as Torrez on sister CHR KHKS (106.1 KISS FM). KDGE also drops its Sunday specialty show "Old School Edge with Jeff K," though Jeff remains in his main posiiton at CCM+E-Dallas as Production Manager.

Non-comm Triple A WXPN/Philadelphia has launched a new channel devoted to contemporary and heritage Singer/Songwriters, ranging from Bob Dylan and Joan Baez to Neko Case and Mumford & Sons. Hosts will include’XPN’s Michaela Majoun, Helen Leicht and Dan Reed and the playlist includes music by both heritage and new artists, as well as exclusive in-studio performances. World Cafe, hosted by David Dye will be on Monday-Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Singer-Songwriter Radio will be broadcast at 88.5 HD-2, and streamed online at XPN2.

FCC Commissioner Mignon Clyburn has been officially confirmed for another term with the Commission by the U.S. Sentate. Clyburn said in a statement, "It is an extraordinary honor to have the opportunity to serve on the Federal Communications Commission for another term. I am grateful to the President for his faith in re-nominating me, and am humbled by the Senate’s support in approving my nomination. I look forward to working with the both the House and Senate as we share a mission to oversee communication policy that keeps the needs of American consumers paramount. Ex-Warner Bros. Records promo vet Bob Hathaway has announced the formation of Bob Hathaway Music Marketing. Hathaway says, "After spending a large portion of my life promoting artists for Warner Bros Records in the Midwest, it seemed natural to continue doing what I love to do. I have spent the past year working many different projects for a variety of clients with very good results. I felt that the time was right to put a name on my business and to let the artists, managers and labels know that I was available to work their projects too. Our industry of tomorrow is being shaped today and I’m excited that I can be on the forefront of that change." TopNotch Entertainment Corp. announces the hiring of 20 year industry record and promotions veteran Adrian Michaels as President effective January 14, 2013. FMQB offers condolences to the family and friends of CHR/Rhythmic KEWB/Redding's Jose Ochoa who passed away on December 28 after suffering a heart attack. He was 35.
