| A New Direction For Nelly Furtado? |

 Nelly Furtado
| After the large-scale success of Nelly Furtado’s third album Loose, the singer wants to switch things up and try another musical style: Rock. Furtado, who latest album was noted for its Hip-Hop/Pop/Dance fusion, has been discussing the creation of a rock band with Hip Hop mogul Timbaland. She told Billboard that the duo would create music that would be “[their] version of alternative…it wouldn't necessarily be like heavy and guitar-driven. It would be left field, and not necessarily Pop." She adds that they don't have a name for the project. "We keep arguing over names. I want these really weird, subversive names, and [Timbaland] wants these mysterious, like, Lord of the Rings kind of names. We can't decide." Tim and Nelly would not likely begin this project until the end of Furtado’s 17-date summer tour, which begins May 30.Fans who love the catchy songs on Loose should not hold their breath for a new album by Furtado…at least not in English. The singer revealed that she doesn’t see herself “recording in English again any time soon.” Instead, the artist would opt to do a "Spanish or Portuguese project."
