Clear Channel Rhythmic AC WKTU/New York has dropped the syndicated Wake Up With Whoopi morning show with Whoopi Goldberg.  The New York Daily News reports a memo was circulated to the 'KTU staff late Tuesday (11/27) saying the station would no longer be carrying the show as of Wednesday morning.

It's no secret that the show had struggled to capture enough of an audience to make a significant impression in the #1 radio market. All Whoopi images have been removed from the station's Web site. Music Director/swing personality Bartel filled Wednesday's morning slot, but there's been no official word yet on the station's new morning show.

Wake Up With Whoopi has been dropped from a handful of other stations in recent weeks, but is still airing in syndication in multiple markets.
