June 20, 2012

Rush
Usher scores his fourth #1 album this week as Looking 4 Myself debuts at the top of the sales chart with 128,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The singer's last full-length, 2010's Raymond v Raymond, also entered the chart at #1, although with a larger first week tally of 329,000. Meanwhile, veteran rockers Rush start off at #2 this week with Clockwork Angels. The album sold 103,000 units, giving Rush its best sales week in 10 years. Clockwork Angels also is the trio's second album to hit #2 on the U.S. chart, following 1993's Counterparts.

Adele's 21 is the #3 album this week with 63,000 sold, and Country star Josh Turner debuts at #4 by shifting 45,000 copies of Punching Bag. British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran takes a bow at #5 with his first full-length, +, moving 42,000 units. Sheeran's arrival is the highest debut for a U.K. solo artist's first full-length album since Susan Boyle's I Dreamed a Dream bowed at #1 on December 12, 2009, according to Billboard.com.

In the back half of the Top 10, One Direction's Up All Night holds at #6 with 39,000, while the new effort from Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Americana, is #7 with 37,000. Alan Jackson's Thirty Miles West falls to #8 this week with just under 37,000 sold, and the Rock of Ages soundtrack is up to #9 with 36,000, following the film's release in theaters on June 15. Lastly, Waka Flocka Flame's Triple F Life debuts at #10 with 33,000 sold. It's the rapper's second studio album and it boasts guests such as Drake, Trey Songz and Nicki Minaj.
