Since this is my first time 'On The Beach' as they say in the biz... I will take some time to Relax and Recharge for my next radio destination! To commemorate it's 40th anniversary, WCBS-FM/New York will feature an on-air celebration starting on July 6 through July 8, featuring the artists and jocks who have been a part of the last 40 years of playing New York's Greatest Hits. "CBS-FM has been a proven ratings leader in New York and has also served as the blueprint for classic hits radio stations across the country. It's a pleasure to both work and listen to the station each day," said SVP/Market Manager. Don Bouloukos. Market vet Woody P. Snow is named morning host at Soft AC KTXR/Springfield. Snow recently exited from crosstown AC KGBX after more than 20 years.

NAB Radio Board Chair Don Benson has appointed Patrick Walsh, COO/CFO/Director at Emmis Communications, to the NAB Radio Board of Directors. Walsh is filling the unexpired term for the designated Board seat held by Marc Morgan who recently resigned.

The Alliance For Women In Media (AWM) announces that Kay Olin, President of Local Focus Radio, is named Chair of the AWM Board of Directors.

For a third consecutive year, the Conclave Learning Conference ends its session agenda with publisher Kurt Hanson’s RAIN Summit Midwest, Friday morning July 20 at 10:00 AM CDT. Steve Dahl will keynote the day, with Hanson interviewing the Chicago radio veteran about "his experience as a self-employed podcaster and his efforts to move the 'Steve Dahl Show' to the digital age."
