With Green Day's ˇDos! album dropping on November 13, the band has revealed the full tracklist for the second LP in their trilogy of albums. ˇDos! includes party-centric song titles like "Wild One," "Makeout Party," "Nightlife" and "Wow! That's Loud." Among the other songs on the 13-track effort are "See You Tonight," "Lazy Bones," "Stray Heart," "Ashley," "Baby Eyes," "Lady Cobra" and "Amy." ˇDos! will follow Green Day's ˇUno!, which bowed at #2 on the sales chart last week with 139,000 copies sold.
However, in unfortunate Green Day news, the band has pulled out of its headline slot at New Orleans' Voodoo Music Experience festival on October 27 while Billie Joe Armstrong undergoes treatment for substance abuse issues.
"Canceling shows is something we rarely do," drummer Tre Cool said in a statement announcing the axed gig. "We never want to let our fans down, and we are grateful for all of you being understanding during this time."
Bassist Mike Dirnt also told the BBC that the pressure to record, release and promote the trilogy took an unexpected toll on the band. "With hindsight 20/20 it was a tremendous undertaking," he told BBC Radio 1 host Zane Lowe. "Although we were having fun we didn't take our nose out of the book for a long time. I think it catches up with you a little bit... We definitely just jumped off a moving train." Dirnt added that he hasn't seen Armstrong for weeks, but he is confident that everything will turn out well. "I'm sure Billie's had it really rough," he said. "There's been very little contact between us, so I guess I'm just generalizing, but it's a pretty heavy-duty process... This is probably the longest time we haven't seen each other - I haven't seen Billie in weeks... It's an awkward position to be in, but we're going to pander this out. We'll get there."
