Republic Records Names Gary Spangler SVP Of Promotion & Operations

Gary Spangler
Republic Records continues its recent run of executive promotions, appointing Gary Spangler as SVP of Promotion & Operations for the label. The announcement was made by Republic founder and CEO Monte Lipman today. Spangler served as the label's VP of Crossover Promotion.

Lipman commented, "Gary constantly goes and above and beyond, elevating the profile of both the label and the artists with each promotional campaign he spearheads. He's reliable, industrious, and extremely versatile. On behalf of our entire staff, I'd like to offer my sincerest congratulations about this position. It is well deserved."

Spangler adds, "I’m honored to work for the most talented executives and mentors in the industry. Monte and Avery not only successfully nurture and develop talent, but they also embody a level of character and professionalism that is unmatched. I thank them for the continued opportunity to help our dynamic artists grow to new heights."

Since joining Republic in 2006, Spangler has contributed to promotion campaigns for numerous artists including Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Enrique Iglesias, Big Machine Records’ Taylor Swift and several others. Previously, Spangler was SVP of Promotions at Lawman Promotions for eight years. He began his career at KYLD/San Francisco.
