At Beasley CHR WRDW (Wired 96.5)/Philadelphia, morning host Chio announced on-air this morning that he has resigned from the station. Chio is a member of the Chio, Shila and Tingle in the Morning Show, which airs from 6:00 – 10:00 a.m. weekday mornings. Shila and Tingle will remain on the Wired 96.5 morning show. Beasley-Philadelphia VP/GM  Natalie Conner states, "We appreciate the contributions Chio has made to Wired 96.5, our listeners and to the Philadelphia community while a member of the Wired 96.5 on-air staff, and we all wish him the very best in the next phase of his successful career."
On Facebook, Chio wrote, "I love you Philly! I love my P1’s. We’ve been through so much together. We've shared National events like 9/11 and weathered Hurricanes and Snowstorms. We’ve cheered together when the Phillies won the World Series! You were all in the delivery room when I had my youngest son Tristan. You have all opened your hearts and helped me over the years grant so many Christmas Wishes and changed the lives of so many families. You were all there for me when I went through a hard time in my marriage and watched me as I rebuilt the relationship with my wife Shawn. She is my rock. She stood by me through thick an thin. It’s very hard to say goodbye to you all but my time at Wired is over. I can never thank this City - and the best listening audience in the World - enough for all you have given me and my family. I don’t know where my journey will end, but I am so thankful that I got to share it all with you."

Congratulations to Jay Hudson, who is promoted to PD of Modern Rocker CIMX (89X)/Windsor-Detroit. Hudson has spent the last six years as MD/night host. He will move to afternoon drive, replacing Cal Cagno, who segues into co-hosting mornings alongside new station acquisition Rusty Thomson.
Hudson said, "I have to thank Bell Media and GM Eric Proksch for believing in me and allowing me to have this opportunity. I’m very fortunate to have a strong team around me that loves to win as much as I do, and I’m eager to help keep moving the station forward."

Michael Yo's The Yo Show on Yahoo! has been extended by Yahoo! following a successful debut season.

Gaffney Broadcasting has yielded the WNOW-FM call letters attached to to its Charlotte-area R&B Oldies Old School 105.3 to CBS Radio, who replaces longtime New York City call letters WXRK with WNOW. Old School 105.3 will now have the WOSF call letters.

Alan Furst is named PD of KROI (News 92 FM)/Houston, effective January 7.

CCM+E-Tampa names Fernando Bauermeister as GSM for WFLZ, WXTB and WBTP.

Epic Records Chairman/CEO L.A. Reid says he will not be returning to Fox's The X Factor as a judge next season. Reid told Access Hollywood, "I have to go back and I have a company to run that I’ve kind of neglected and it saddens me a little bit, but only a little bit." Reid suggested that Jon Bon Jovi would be a good replacement for him on the panel. He also didn't rule out returning to The X Factor a season or two down the line, just not next year.
