Mariah Carey has recorded a new song for the soundtrack to Oz: The Great And Powerful, the Disney prequel to The Wizard Of Oz. The track, "Almost Home," will be released February 19. Billboard reports that photographer/director and longtime Carey collaborator David LaChapelle will direct the "Almost Home" video. Oz: The Great And Powerful stars James Franco and will be out March 8.

Beyoncé
Now that the Nielsen/SoundScan figures for the past week have been tallied, it has been revealed that Beyoncé and Destiny's Child's combined album catalog saw a 197 percent sales spike following the Super Bowl halftime show. According to Billboard, Beyoncé sold 9,000 albums (a 119 percent increase), while Destiny's Child sold 11,000 (a 328 percent jump). The DC sales number was boosted by the release of their new Love Songs compilation, which debuted at #72. Looking at individual songs, their combined digital tracks saw a 132 percent increase to 167,000 songs sold. Beyoncé saw a 103 percent increase in her solo tracks, with Destiny's Child getting a 286 percent increase. The best-selling song was B's solo hit "Halo," which closed her halftime medley.

The Recording Academy announced yesterday that Mumford & Sons and Elton John will be a part of a tribute to the late Levon Helm of The Band at this Sunday's Grammy Awards. T Bone Burnett, Mavis Staples, Zac Brown and Alabama Shakes singer Brittany Howard will also team up with Mumford and Elton, playing an all-star cover of the Band classic "The Weight."
Additionally, MTV News has revealed an all-star supergroup performance from LL Cool J, Chuck D, drummer Travis Barker, uber-guitarist Tom Morello and DJ Z-Trip. It is unknown what the musicians will be performing.

Speaking of Sir Elton John, he appeared on Chelsea Lately yesterday for an interview with guest host Dave Grohl, in which he revealed that he recorded something for the new Queens of the Stone Age album. John said he went to Los Angeles to record a duet with Engelbert Humperdinck, and from there, he went right to the studio with QOTSA, which he said was "a bit of a mind-f**k." Grohl, who plays drums on the album, assured John at the time that he would not be playing a ballad, and John described the song as "a great track" and said it was "very complicated" for him to weave his piano in with a "guitar band." The album is due sometime this year, although it's unclear exactly when.

Guns N' Roses have been added as headliners for New York's Governors Ball festival, which will take place in Randall's Island Park from June 7-9. The band joins a lineup that already boasts Kanye West, Kings of Leon, Nas, the Avett Brothers, Grizzly Bear, Kendrick Lamar, the Lumineers, Animal Collective, Feist, Gary Clark Jr. and many more. GNR also is set for a short tour of Australia with ZZ Top in March.

UK boy band The Wanted is getting their own reality series on the E! network, produced by Ryan Seacrest. The show will launch in June and is tentatively titled The Wanted Life. Seacrest tweeted yesterday, "We're gonna put @TheWanted in a house here in LA for a couple months w/ every faith they'll behave themselves. #TheWantedOnE" The Wanted are expected to release their official U.S. debut album this spring.

Marilyn Manson collapsed onstage about an hour into his concert last night in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Billboard reports that about a minute into "The Beautiful People," Manson stopped singing and keeled over onstage. When it became apparent Manson's collapse was not part of the show, his band stopped playing and stagehands rushed to help him offstage. TMZ later reported that Manson's collapse was due to the flu, and he hopes to be back onstage tomorrow night in Calgary.

Kylie Minogue
Kylie Minogue has signed on with Jay-Z's Roc Nation as the Australian Pop star's new management. Roc Nation released a statement making the announcement, along with a photo of Minogue in a Roc Nation shirt, saying, "We would like to welcome Aussie singer, recording artist, songwriter, actress and designer Kylie Minogue to the Roc Nation family! In a career now spanning 25 years, Kylie has released 11 studio albums, two live CDs, eight live concert DVDs, a greatest hits double album, and multiple video packages. She has released over 50 hit singles worldwide, including the Grammy-winning Come Into My World, and has sold more than 68 million albums worldwide. Needless to say, we’re excited to have Kylie join the Roc fam."

Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band have added some new dates to their Rock And Roll Never Forgets tour, including April shows in Detroit, Chicago, Dayton and Brooklyn, NY. Furthermore, appearing in Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, Denver, St. Louis and Chicago will be special guest, Joe Walsh. Seger is expected to add more dates to the tour, and in the meantime, sessions for his new album continue in Nashville and Detroit amid rehearsals for the trek.

Jay-Z's Life + Times YouTube channel is offering behind-the-scenes footage of Melanie Fiona's upcoming music video for "Wrong Side of a Love Song." The video was directed by Larenz Tate and features Sparkle star Omari Hardwick as Melanie's love interest. The official clip is set to premiere in the coming weeks, as the singer prepares for this weekend's Grammy Awards, where "Wrong Side Of A Love Song" is nominated for Best Traditional R&B Performance.

Middle Class Rut will release their new album, Pick Up Your Head, on May 21. The duo is following up their breakthrough 2010 release No Name No Color, which featured the hit single "New Low." The new single, "Aunt Betty," impacts radio officially on March 5.

Australian rockers Airbourne will release their third album, Black Dog Barking, via Roadrunner Records on May 21. Additionally, the band has teamed with Six Flags Entertainment for the first-ever release of an original song created for a roller coaster. The Full Throttle edition of the album track "Live it Up" will be released for the opening of the Full Throttle ride at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA. The song will be released to Rock radio in late spring followed by its in-park debut at Six Flags Magic Mountain along with the ride opening.
