Rick Gillette
Cumulus announces the appointment of veteran radio programmer Rick Gillette as Corporate Program Director and PD of CHR WRQX/Washington, D.C. Gillette was most recently with CBS Radio as PD of NOW-FM in New York City. He takes the reins of "All the Hits 107.3," effective immediately. The station's current PD Marco remains with the station in afternoon drive.

Prior to programming for CBS in New York City, Gillette programmed for stations in Chicago and Detroit and was VP of Music Entertainment for DMX Music, a global music services company based in Los Angeles.

John Dickey, Cumulus EVP/Co-COO said, "Rick Gillette has programmed and won in the most competitive major markets in the country. Washington is a great challenge and opportunity for Cumulus and Rick as we evolve WRQX-FM’s brand. Rick has the experience to handle this challenge. His contribution in D.C. and our company will be significant."

Mike McVay, Cumulus SVP of Programming, said, "We’re very pleased to welcome Rick to the Cumulus corporate programming team, and believe he will be a tremendous asset as we continue to expand our programming brain trust."

Gillette said, "I’m excited to join Cumulus and to work with John, Mike and the Cumulus team. The vision that was laid out for me is unique and exciting. The company is very forward thinking and that is what enticed me to become a part of Cumulus."
