Quick Hits: Lady Gaga, Austin Mahone, Ed Kowalczyk
April 4, 2014

Lady Gaga will guest host the syndicated radio countdown show American Top 40 With Ryan Seacrest on April 5 and 6. She'll take calls and answer questions about her third single, “G.U.Y.” from the album ARTPOP. Gaga is currently in the middle of a sold-out, seven-night performance residency at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City. SiriusXM has announced that they will be broadcasting the performance on Friday April 4 at 11 pm ET. The concert will air on SiriusXM Hits 1, Channel 2,  SiriusXM Internet Radio App and on siriusxm.com.

Austin Mahone's debut album has, at long last, an official title and release date. The Secret will be released on May 27, preceding a North American headlining tour. The singer previewed the album with the release of his “Mmm Yeah” single featuring Pitbull.
He made a name for himself with his Hot 100 debut, “What About Love.” His headlining tour kicks off July 25.

The original lead singer of Live, Ed Kowalczyk, has released three solo albums since parting ways with Live in 2009. Kowalczyk posted a cover of Imagine Dragons' “Radioactive” yesterday, which he performed for an Australian radio station. He said about the song, “I resonate with this song on a few levels; first, Radioactive was the name of the label of my late friend and mentor, the legendary Gary Kurfirst. Gary signed me to my first record contract when I was 20 years old – he was such an amazing friend to all of his artists, and a true visionary. Second — it’s a great melody, and I like those :)” See the video below:
