Music Industry Vet Tommy Page Passes Away
March 4, 2017

Tommy Page

Tommy Page, a veteran of the music biz in a variety of roles, has passed away at the age of 46. According to Billboard, where Page spent time as Publisher, he was found dead of an apparent suicide on Friday.

"It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of our beloved Tommy Page who passed away this weekend. Tommy was a devoted father, husband, brother and son. He was loved by all of those he touched and will be sorely missed. Please respect our privacy at this time of deep sorrow,” said a spokesperson for the family in a released statement.

Page got his start as a Pop singer with the 1990 hit "I'll Be Your Everything," which he co-wrote alongside members of New Kids on the Block, who also appeared on the track. Throughout his career, he released nine albums and toured extensively, as well as performing on Broadway.

However, his career in the music industry took him through a wide variety of roles. At Warner Bros./Reprise Records, Page was an A&R executive and later VP of Top 40 promotion, working with a wide variety of acts, from Green Day to Josh Groban. In 2011, Page left WBR to join Billboard as Associate Publisher and was promoted to Publisher soon after.

Warner Bros. EVP/GM Peter Gray conveyed these heartfelt sentiments, "While the world is hearing sad news of the sudden passing of Tommy Page, it's important we recognize and celebrate the shining light and beautiful life of our colleague and friend Tommy. Accomplished as both an artist and executive, his charm and charisma were effortless and effective. His style and grace always on point. Tommy's spirited passion for music and hit songs could rival any industry giant. And, of course, his signature smile was a lasting trademark of a true Pop star we all adored as an artist on stage, and as a peer on our industry's pitch."

In 2013, Page joined Pandora as VP of Artist and Brand Partnerships. Then in 2015, he moved to Cumulus Media as SVP of Brand Partnerships. Most recently, he was VP of Music Partnerships for the Village Voice.

Page is survived by his husband Charlie and their three children. Everyone at FMQB sends their condolences to Page's family and friends.
