Drake, The Chainsmokers Among iHeartRadio Music Award Winners

The iHeartRadio Music Awards were handed on Sunday night in Los Angeles, celebrating a number of all-star artists. Drake was the big winner of the evening, earned seven awards overall, for Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, R&B Song of the Year, Hip-Hop Album of the Year, Hip-Hop Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, Most Thumbed Up Artist of the Year and Most Thumbed Up Song of the Year. The Chainsmokers won the second-most iHeartRadio Awards, getting five awards for Best New Artist, Best New Pop Artist, Dance Album of the Year, Dance Artist of the Year and Dance Song of the Year.


Adele
Justin Timberlake's smash "Can't Stop the Feeling" was named Song of the Year. Adele won for Female Artist of the Year, as well as Pop Album of the Year, while Justin Bieber was crowned Male Artist of the Year. His hit "Love Yourself" won for Best Lyrics. Twenty One Pilots won multiple awards as well, for Best Duo/Group of the Year, Alternative Rock Album of the Year and Alternative Rock Song of the Year. Rihanna walked away with three awards and Republic Records was named Label of the Year.

Bruno Mars was honored with the 2017 iHeartRadio Innovator Award and closed out the evening with a medley of his hits.

Katy Perry kicked off the night with a performance of her new single "Chained to the Rhythm" featuring a giant hamster wheel as well as a giant inflatable hamster. Ed Sheeran played his new tunes "Shape of You" and "Castle on the Hill." The aforementioned Chainsmokers performed "Paris" before being joined by Chris Martin for their Coldplay collaboration "Something Just Like This."
