Quick Hits: Kendrick Lamar, Queens Of The Stone Age
April 7, 2017
Kendrick Lamar is expected to release his new album next Friday, April 14. In recent weeks, Lamar released the track "The Heart Part 4," which teased new material today (4/7) and then another song "HUMBLE." According to iTunes and Spotify, Lamar's new record may be simply called ALBUM and will be his first studio album since 2015's critically acclaimed To Pimp a Butterfly. The iTunes pre-order contains some data about the record, including a credit for U2, though it is unknown if the Rockers contributed to the album or are simply sampled.
Queens of the Stone Age have begun teasing the release of their new album. The band had been in the studio lately and on Thursday updated all their social media with a new version of their "Q" logo and the words "Coming Twenty Five." QOTSA are playing a handful of festival dates this summer and just added a tour of Australia and New Zealand in July.
